  • I'm a native of New York state and Tompkins County, NY.

I’m one of the faster growing oaks and can live up to 400 years.

My leaves are handsome throughout the year, emerging pinkish-red, turning lustrous dark green in summer, and changing to russet-red to bright red in autumn.

I’m tolerant of salt and air pollution making me  a good tree for more exposed areas.

Over 100 species of birds and mammals feast on my acorns and 537 species of moths and butterfly caterpillars depend on me.
