I can tolerate full sun, but I grow best in part shade and in moist, humusy, well drained soil.

I like to grow in mounds.

I like to live in the woods, but I'd also make a nice plant on the north side of your house.

I have a shorter bloom period, but my foliage persists unlike many woodland species.
