  • I'm native to New York State

I'm a cool-season grass. I grow most actively in the spring and fall

I spread easily from rhizomes. I can be considered aggressive, so I should be planted where I can spread freely

I can grow in all types of soil, but prefer moist areas.

I’m used in ceremonies by North American indigenous cultures.

    I have a vanilla scent.
