I'm a native to New York state.

I attract butterflies and bees.

I spread by rhizomes, but am not invasive like the true mints (Mentha). I’m clump forming and you can prune my roots with a spade in the spring to keep me from spreading.

My leaves smell like spearmint when crushed and can be used in teas.
