I can grow in a variety of soil conditions including salty conditions like along roads.

I have waxy, fleshy leaves that make me stand out and help me to retain water and protect me from harsh salty conditions.

I produce and abundant amount of nectar, which makes me ideal for monarchs as they journey south.

I can grow tall under ideal conditions, but cut me back in the spring to control my height

I attract many pollinators including specialist pollinators of Solidago like the goldenrod lace bug.

Songbirds love my seeds including Indigo buntings, and goldfinches.
