Obedient Plant (Physostegia virginiana)

** I’m a NA native, but technically not native to NY. I should be used in your garden and not in wild areas. 

 

I love wet areas and will spread by rhizomes to fill an area. 

 

I produce a lot of nectar and am available into the fall when pollinators need that extra boost of energy

 

My flowers can be moved as if they are on a hinge and will stay in the place you put them. 

 

I attract many pollinators including hummingbirds.
