  • I'm native to Tompkins County, NY

I'm a cool-season grass. I grow most actively in the spring and fall

I'm a taller grass for a shady area.

    I'm usually clump forming

My leaf blades are very pretty; dark green and growing up to 12" long.

My seeds are food for birds and small mammals and provide cover and habitat.  Deer and rabbits like the young foliage.

I grow in clumps and therefore provide nice habitat for birds and small mammals.
