** I'm a NA native but technically not native to NY state. I should be used in your garden and not in wild areas. I am found in PA.
I'm a spring bloomer.
I go completely dormant in the summer.
I’m not native to NY and am found in a very limited native range with populations confined to the steep limestone bluffs of the upper midwest Driftless region, in addition to a small area of the Appalachians.
I have flowers that appear to fly upward looking a bit like a shooting star.
Bumblebees are my primary pollinator. They need to vibrate their bodies in order to shake the pollen out from deep inside my bloom.
